If you have not tried the viral terracotta pumpkin DIY project yet, there’s still time! It’s a very beginner friendly and affordable project that anyone can do. All you need is some plastic pumpkins, paint, baking soda, and sponge brushes. In order to get the rugged texture, I used a good amount of baking soda mixed in with the paint and dabbed the paint mixture onto to the pumpkins. Once the pumpkins had dried slightly, I sprinkled baking soda all over the pumpkins and brushed off any excess.

Picked these up at Home Depot, I believe they were $10-$15 each

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Paint
- Baking soda
- Tray for the paint
- A few different size sponge brushes

Dabbing on the paint mixture

The finished result! Such an easy and fun project
