New year = new interior trends to check out. Natural stone elements around the home; think countertops, accent walls, and kitchen islands. Creative arches; the obvious place for aches is in doorways but this year it will expand to decorative items, wall cutouts, and other areas of the home. Monochromatic rooms; match the shade of the wall color to the shade of furniture, rugs, pillow covers (or vice versa) in specific rooms.

Viral Pottery Barn Terracotta Pumpkin DIY
If you have not tried the viral terracotta pumpkin DIY project yet, there’s still time! It’s a very beginner friendly and affordable project that anyone can do. All you need is some plastic pumpkins, paint, baking soda, and sponge brushes. In order to get the rugged texture, I used a good amount of baking soda mixed in with the paint and dabbed the paint mixture onto to the pumpkins. Once the pumpkins had dried slightly, I sprinkled baking soda all over the pumpkins and brushed off any excess. Picked these up at Home Depot, I believe they were $10-$15 each Here’s what you’ll need: Dabbing on the paint mixture The…

Mid-Century Modern Interior Style
The Mid-century modern interior style has been popular for a long time. Bohemian Style Inspo
One of my favorite interior styles is the bohemian/neutral style, if I lived by myself I’d probably style my whole apartment like this. Even though the bohemian style is not as trendy anymore, you can make it look more timeless using less trendy items. To get this style you want to use mostly whites and different shades of beige for your color palette. You also want to make sure to incorporate a lot of natural materials such as pampas, rattan, and light colored wood. See below for some inspo pics and also check out my Pinterest board for even more inspo!
